Madison County Prevention Virtual, Evening Parent Workshops

Madison County Prevention (MCP) is now offering free, virtual, evening Parenting Workshops that started on January 12th and running every Tuesday through March.  These workshops require a registration and only 20 seats are available per training.


Below are 2 flyers for your convenience.  The first flyer has a QR Code that will link to a PDF where individuals can follow links for each training to register.  This is the flyer that should be shared with the public.  The second flyer is the PDF that the QR Code will send participants to register. 


All trainings will be on a Zoom platform and run for 1-2hrs.  After participants register, a Zoom link will be emailed to them for the training.

March 9th 6:00 – 7:00:  QPR Gatekeeper teaches participants how to Question, Persuade and Refer someone who may be suicidal, how to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide, common causes of suicidal behavior, warning signs of suicide and how to get help for someone in crisis.  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/qpr-gatekeeper-tickets-134437962565

March 16th 6:00 – 8:00:  Teens and Technology is a workshop that equips caregivers with the knowledge and tools to teach teens how to be safe when engaging in social media.  Provided by Nationwide Children’s.  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/teens-and-technology-tickets-134433918469

March 23rd 6:00 – 8:00:  Trauma 101 provides a basic understanding of the impact of psychological trauma helps in a broad array of interventions and treatment.  This training provides a foundational overview and awareness of trauma, resilience, and trauma-informed care for anyone in the community who interacts with individuals and families.  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/trauma-101-tickets-134438289543
