Thursday, February 17, 2022 (11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
OACB is hosting statewide virtual trainings regarding the Waiting List Rule in Ohio, which went through significant changes in 2018. After three years of using the new Waiting List Assessment tool, there has been a significant reduction of the number of people on the Waiver Waiting List across the state
Topics covered:
  • Specific issues that have arisen while using the assessment tool
  • Review of best practices for county boards
  • Trends and patterns regarding appeals and hearings
Consistency across the state is vital in administering the tool to ensure compliance with the rule. SSAs are strongly encouraged to attend one of the two sessions available. Recording and FAQs of the sessions will also be shared following the live virtual events.
Presenters: Lori Stanfa, OACB; Amber Gibbs, Cuyahoga DD; Karin Crabbe, Franklin DD; Lyndsay Nash, Nyoka Craddolph and Heidi Clarke, DODD.
Note: These are remote sessions that will take place via Zoom. There is no cost to attend. Zoom links will be emailed directly to participants upon registration. All participants must register independently and attend the session live in order to be marked present and receive applicable CPDUs.
