Ohio Department of Medicaid and Aetna to host OhioRISE listening sessions
The Ohio Department of Medicaid has announced that its provider, Aetna, is hosting listening sessions to get feedback on the OhioRISE program before it is rolled out. Listening sessions are meetings where participants give their thoughts on what’s working, what isn’t working, and what Aetna Better Health of Ohio can do to support youth and families starting in July 2022.

Questions about OhioRISE Listening Sessions?
Ohio Developmental Disabilities Awareness and Advocacy Day is March 2
March is National Developmental Disability Awareness Month. Every year in the first week of March, hundreds of advocates come to the Ohio Statehouse to speak with legislators about issues that are important to Ohioans with developmental disabilities.
This year, Advocacy Day takes place on Wednesday, March 2, and will feature presentations by a panel of people with developmental disabilities, Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities Director Kim Hauck, Shari Cooper of Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley, musician Zayne Harshaw, a representative from Gov. Mike DeWine's office, and Kevin Flynn, a Cincinnati City Councilman who uses a mobility device. Participants will also have opportunities to meet with legislators, both in-person and virtually.
