Celebrating Black History Month: Harriet Tubman
Harriet Tubman (1822-1913): Famous for her efforts in the Underground Railroad, Tubman also served as a nurse during the Civil War. Later in life, she struggled with seizures, possibly resulting from a severe head injury during her earlier life, and her experiences might have contributed to her understanding and empathy for individuals with disabilities.
