Celebrating National Disability Professionals Week

June 17-21, 2024 marks National Disability Professionals Week, an annual event recognized by the National Association of Disability Examiners (NADE). This esteemed professional organization represents and supports dedicated individuals working in the field of disability adjudication, including examiners, administrators, physicians, support staff, and many others.

 

The Division of Disability Determination (DDD) at Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), in collaboration with the Social Security Administration (SSA), plays a vital role in determining medical eligibility for Ohioans who apply for Social Security Disability benefits, including Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

 

This year's NADE theme, "One Team, One Goal," resonates deeply with the mission of OOD. It highlights the collective effort and shared commitment to serving and empowering individuals with disabilities across the state of Ohio.

 

Throughout National Disability Professionals Week, we honor the dedication and expertise of disability professionals who tirelessly work to ensure that individuals with disabilities receive the support and resources they need to lead fulfilling lives.
