Ohio's beauty and opportunities should be accessible to all. That's why Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted introduced Accessible Ohio, a groundbreaking program led by Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) that is transforming businesses, communities, attractions, and venues across the state to be more inclusive and welcoming for individuals with disabilities.

Accessible Ohio made significant strides in its first year:

  • 94 partnerships established with local businesses and organizations

  • 136 accessibility consultations provided

  • Five accessibility enhancements implemented, including a mobility device charging station and universal changing tables
  • 15 training sessions delivered to nearly 1,700 attendees

  • 35 online accessibility resources created

Our team of regional specialists works directly with partners to:

  • Set achievable accessibility goals

  • Identify and remove barriers

  • Navigate Americans with Disabilities Act requirements

  • Create more inclusive environments

But don't just take our word for it. Watch our video to hear from four partners who have experienced the benefits of Accessible Ohio firsthand. Learn how this program is opening doors and creating opportunities for all Ohioans to fully participate in everything our state has to offer.
