Celebrating Black History Month: Brad Lomax

 

 

Brad Lomax used his own experience as a wheelchair user with multiple sclerosis to drive change. In 1977, Lomax helped lead the 504 Sit-ins at the San Francisco Federal Building, fighting for Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 to become a reality. Lomax's powerful legacy at the crossroads of the civil and disability rights movements shows that justice for everyone transcends all boundaries, helping to bridge both movements for generations to come.
